Melody Living’s senior independent living residents love to get out and explore their community. Each month our Life Enrichment Director plans a variety of outings for our residents to learn more about the history of Colorado, explore the natural beauty that Colorado has to offer, and just to go out and have fun! From exploring new foods, hitting up popular tourist sites throughout our hometown, or meeting up with other seniors in the community for some dancing, our active senior retirement community loves to have fun and try new things. Recently, our seniors gathered together to enjoy a prom night hosted by the Senior Resource Council. Our Lunch Bunch Group meets regularly at new restaurants in the area to catch up with fellow residents. Almost every outing involves a stop to grab a bite to eat somewhere in our community. From local stops to day trips to historical landmarks, our residents get to learn about the history behind our great state. In Colorado Springs, we visited the Olympic & Paralympic Training Center. On a separate occasion, we headed up to Jefferson County to visit the Buffalo Bills Museum and Grave Site. Colorado native or not, exploring all the amazing attractions Colorado, and especially Colorado Springs, has to offer is a great way to explore the community and bond with fellow residents. Take a look at our monthly activity calendar to see what fun outings we have coming up. A community of engagement and new experiences that allow residents to thrive is what Melody Living is all about.
