 Meet Dick Rosendall, Melody Living’s Colorado Springs independent living resident of the month! We love getting to know each of our residents here at Melody Living and we hope you enjoy getting to know more about Dick as our featured resident. Dick was born and raised in Lansing, MI where he lived for 82 years. He went to Ressurection Catholic School for all of his primary schooling. Dick only recently moved to Colorado Springs in 2021 to be closer to his daughter who lives here. He also has a daughter who lives in San Diego and a son who still lives in Michigan as well as 4 grandsons and a great-grandson.  He worked at Oldsmobile throughout his career and said it was his greatest accomplishment. He started in the mailroom and moved up to become Director for computer data processing before retiring and starting his own business. He loved working at Oldsmobile and his love of cars extended into his hobbies. Dick raced Corvettes and competed in motocross, his favorite car to race was the ‘61 Corvette. His first car was a Crosley 4-cylinder that didn’t have any doors. Dick’s favorite holiday is New Year's because of all the fun parties he got to enjoy. Dick has traveled to Australia and Paris, but his favorite trip was to Copper Harbor with his Boy Scout troop. He was in Boy Scouts for five years.  Dick found out about Melody Living from his kids, his son in Michiga was talking to his daughter here in Colorado Springs and they all decided he should come visit. He actually saw Melody Living before the building was complete. He loves how comfortable he feels here and the delicious food.
