An excellent way to make these workouts fun and motivating is to add music to your fitness sessions.
Join a Walking Club Melody Living’s beautifully landscaped community offers excellent outdoor recreation activities to include walking groups where residents can enjoy our secured outdoor paths, garden area, and patio for some fresh air and activity – not to mention they can enjoy exquisite mountain views of Pikes Peak.
Our walking club provides the opportunity for physical wellness and social wellness. Many members of our club have become good friends and they meet up to walk every day at 9:00 am. If the weather isn’t permitting a walk outside the group often walks indoors or takes advantage of our fitness center. Melody Living’s state-of-the-art fitness center, the Momentum Fitness Center, offers seniors of all capabilities in our community, ample opportunities to develop new fitness habits or maintain those that they already know and love.
Try Out In-Home Fitness We also want to offer helpful activities for those who prefer to stay in the comfort of their home. These activities can be done with pop-by visits from our care staff or through virtual opportunities.
Whether you have equipment or not, there are plenty of ways to stay physically well in your home. Various online programs offer fitness routines that can be enjoyed sitting or standing and with or without weights. Stretching regularly is always another excellent routine to get into the habit of. However, it’s always best to consult your doctor on what exercises are suitable for your body and fitness level.
