​At Melody Living in Colorado Springs, the safety and wellness of our senior living residents is our top priority. Family members can rest easy knowing that their loved ones are well taken care of through the support of a proactive care team alongside state-of-the-art technology features offered in our retirement community.
 
First, we like to begin with proactive care efforts like integrated wellness programs and healthy nutrition in our senior dining rooms. Physical, mental and nutritional wellness all play an important role of ensuring the overall wellness of a person. While our team does ensure visits with residents regularly, we also have a back-up to ensure that each resident is staying active through the use of credential pendants. These pendants allow us to see if and when a resident has entered or left their apartment home and what doors they’ve accessed. Credential pendants are a safeguard for residents that our team review regularly throughout the day.

Our electronic health care record and call system tracks the care and services of each one of our senior residents electronically which allows us to integrate all health functions seamlessly with our staff care coordinators, primary care physicians and acute care providers year-round. The benefit of being able to see all information in one place, allows for our team to see a full timeline of wellness reports for each individual as we monitor safety. Our team integrates this with the electronic health records to flag emerging issues that may arise so that your loved one’s present and future health and well-being remain our top priority and focus.
 
It’s important to understand that while all care and services are monitored and managed by a team of trained professionals, all of our digital records meet stringent HIPAA privacy standards. This is crucial as our team also can virtually connect with residents’ physicians offsite, as needed. While sometimes primary care physicians may be necessary, Melody Living in Colorado Springs also offers 24/7 nursing support to residents as an added safety precaution.
 
We also have a family visitation room that has been integrated into the design of our community to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents, guests and staff!
