Labor Day Fun at Melody Living Colorado Springs

​In Colorado Springs, Labor Day means a sky full of hot air balloons! The Labor Day Lift Off is an annual event the city of Colorado Springs puts on to celebrate Labor Day and bring our community together. The early morning lift off and evening Balloon Glow are fun-filled events that happen all weekend long and let you see dozens of hot air balloons in the sky or grounded and glowing in the evening light. 

Our Melody Living independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities were so excited to be able to watch the balloons in the sky all weekend. 75 balloons took flight over the weekend for our Colorado Springs senior retirement community to enjoy. 

​Though the main festivities took place at Memorial Park, if you were out and about Labor Day weekend, you likely caught a glimpse of the sky high celebration just by looking up. Balloons took flight all weekend long, so everyone could watch the colorful spectacle with two feet safely on the ground, if heights aren’t your thing. 

​Our Melody Living senior living community residents had a blast being a part of the celebration and getting to see the Colorado Springs sky filled with hot air balloons with Pikes Peak as the backdrop.
