Meet the Staff of Melody Living Colorado Springs

¡¡Hola! Meet Sebastian! Sebastian started as Sales and Marketing Director here at Melody Living independent living and transitioned to the role of Assistant Executive Director at the beginning of 2024.

Sebastian is originally from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. In 2019, he made the move to Colorado Springs and has been loving it ever since.

His favorite thing about living in Colorado Springs is the weather and being able to enjoy all four seasons. Of course, the gorgeous views of Pikes Peak are also at the top of that list. 

Sebastian married his amazing wife in 2015. Together, they have three wonderful kids, two boys and a girl.

​Sebastian’s favorite holidays are Thanksgiving and Christmas, and he loves being able to celebrate with his family. His favorite foods are sushi and tacos and he says fùtbol (soccer) is his religion. 

In his role at Melody senior living, his favorite part of the job is how he serves as a bridge for all the families and helps them explore and understand the transition from Independent Living to Assisted Living or Memory Care for their parents or loved ones. In his years of experience in the senior housing world, he has noticed how in other communities the resident is just a number. His mission is to ensure residents at Melody Living feel heard and seen, and never feel that way. ​

He says he loves being able to impact the community with his energy and smile. Being able to talk to the residents each day, they have become an extension of his family.
 
Sebastian lost his dad back in Mexico just a few months before he received the opportunity to work at Melody Living. He felt his role at Melody Living Colorado Springs was meant to be, as he was not able to be with his dad during his final days.

By having the amazing opportunity at Melody Living though, he felt he could provide for the residents and make a difference by having conversations and listening to all their amazing stories.

Sebastian loves sharing jokes with the residents and laughing with them. He feels he can bring some extra joy to the residents' lives, all of which contribute to deeper personal satisfaction for Sebastian and by extension, our amazing residents.
