Paxxon Healthcare Services now offered at Melody Living Colorado Springs

We are pleased to announce our new partnership with Paxxon Healthcare Services, an affiliate of the Weston Healthcare Group. Paxxon Healthcare services will be providing comprehensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy services in a private space on the second floor of Melody Living in Colorado Springs.  Skilled evaluations and resident-specific therapy programs are now available to our residents.

Paxxon Model of Care
Paxxon Healthcare Services provides a full range of person-centered, evidence-based therapeutic services to maximize the individuals’ ability to function independently, thus enhancing quality of life. The Paxxon Model of Care was designed to develop a comprehensive Medicare B program to service all seniors.  “As we develop this extensive programming and Best Practice Protocol, we partner with providers to coordinate quality and continuity of care.  As a result, we minimize the many different number of people treating and effectively communicate progress towards goals, changes in functional status, and overall care of the resident,” explained Paxxon in a recent press release. ​

Benefits for Residents
The therapy services will ensure
residents continue to function as independently as possible so they can age in place. Residents benefit from Physical and Occupational Therapy to reduce their fall risk, improve their ability to transfer, improve their ambulation and improve their participation with activities of daily living. Speech Therapy is just as important if an individual is struggling with their speech, cognition or swallowing skills.

Having an on-site therapy provider is extremely beneficial to the residents since they do not have to drive or seek a ride outside the community to see a therapist. They can just come up to visit Paxxon right here in the community.
