It’s not every day we get the opportunity to snuggle with kittens, but when we do, it’s with the world’s cutest little felines! Our special visitors came to spend a little furry fun with our assisted living and memory support residents. Smiles filled the room as these purr-fect little kittens made their way down the hallways giving residents in each neighborhood another wonderful reason to smile. Studies have shown that pet therapy is a great way to improve mood and reduce stress or anxiety. It also has shown that visits with animals, even if brief, some programs have cited improvements in appetite, socialization, and cognitive stimulation with those that have dementia.
Of course, we just think their ultimate cuteness was a total plus for the day!
