Space Talk - Our Independent Living Astronaut Visit

​Recently, Melody Living’s independent living community welcomed retired NASA astronaut, James F. Reilly, to share his story and talk about all things space. James had a distinguished 13-year career where he flew three spaceflight missions and conducted five spacewalks which totaled more than 856 hours in space.
 
He was excited to share his experience with our Colorado Springs senior living community during his talk here and we loved welcoming others from the local community as our special guests.

With more than 50 attendees, Reilly was able to share great details about his space travels with our retirement community, and brought together people of all ages to indulge their fascination with outer space. He regaled stories of his multiple space walks as well as anecdotes about traveling through space.
 
Reilly was kind enough to take pictures with residents as well as our Melody Living team, and even signed a t-shirt for a young fan.
