Super Bowl snacks also score big at our senior housing community! Choose foods that are your senior’s favorites - don’t forget to incorporate some healthy snacks too, such as hummus and veggies. Prepare dishes as small bites that are already familiar to your loved one and easy to consume. Assign someone to make your loved one a plate and get them a drink to enjoy. The Super Bowl is now in it’s 56th year. It’s likely the game will spark memories of past experiences. Health experts believe watching football can bring physical wellness to fans, even if they’re not playing. Studies determined watching four quarters is equivalent to a moderate cardiovascular workout, like a brisk walk. Studies also show a boost in your emotional wellness happens when your team takes over on the scoreboard.
